Residential window tint
Home window film is a thin film applied to the inside of the glass. It cuts heat and glare, adds privacy and blocks the UV that fades floors and furniture, while still letting the daylight in.
Why people tint their windows at home
A cooler house
Film blocks a large share of the heat that comes through the glass, so that west-facing room stops turning into an oven in the afternoon and the air conditioning works less.
Less glare
Watch TV or work at the kitchen table without pulling the blinds.
Privacy
Privacy and mirrored films keep people from seeing in during the day while you still see out.
Less fading
UV is what fades hardwood floors, rugs and furniture. Film blocks most of it.
Safety film
Holds glass together if it breaks and makes a window harder to get through.
Decorative
Frosted or patterned film for bathrooms, front doors and sidelights.
